  Workshops in Encaustic Painting and Resin Jewlery are offered at the Beads of Tubac in Tubac, Arizona.  
 

Encaustic

    
  Encaustic is the ancient technique of painting with hot wax. In this two-day workshop, we will first collage with lots of paper to obtain a strong and textured surface to paint on.

The second day, we will cover the surface with hot melted wax. After the wax has hardened we will carve into the wax, then rub the surface with a special mixture to enhance the carved lines.

Mold Making and Resin
"LETS RESINATE!"

   
 

Bring a few small simple objects & I will show you how to use my favorite mold-making product - "POYO" putty. We will then use both a transparent and a bone colored resin. Next, we will make the object look like ivory, bone, or metal. If time permits, we will turn it into a pendant or charm for jewelry.
